Chandrabhedi Pranayama

In this Pranayama Poorak is done repeatedly by the left nostril, that is, through the left Swar.

This Pranayama is beneficial in summer season.

Precuations
This Pranayama should not be done in winter season

The person who has low blood pressure should avoid this Pranayama.

Those who has asthma should not do this Pranayama.


Technique

  • Sit in Padamasana or Sukhasana.
  • Keep the chest, neck, and head straight.
  • Close your eyes.
  • Join your index finger and middle finger of your right hand, and join ring finger and little finger as well. Keep the thumb separate.
  • Put your right hand thumb to right nostril and breath in from left nostril.
  • Close left nostril with ring finger and little finger; remove the thumb from right nostril and breath out.
  • Repeat the same process for 3 minutes; Poorak from the left nostril and Rechak from right nostril.
  • After finishing above steps, relax yourself for minimum 30 seconds; while relaxing bring all your attention to Bindu Visarga.
